It’s easier to lose your driver’s license than you might think. In today’s society driving is a necessity. Without a valid license, a quick drive to the grocery store risks fines, jail time and further suspension. “Driving While License Revoked” is a Class 1 Misdemeanor, punishable by up to 120 days imprisonment. However, it is not uncommon for our clients to leave court with dismissed charges and a valid driver's license in hand.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that you won't be stopped unless you violate a rule of the road. Traffic find other reasons to stop drivers, such as a burned out tail light, headlight, or even a poorly lit license plate. Of course, everyone is stopped at driver's license check points.

GET YOUR LICENSE BACK.

Our primary goal is to recover your license. Mr. Dawson has recovered licenses for drivers who had mulitple permanent suspensions. He reviews ur client's driving records to determine how a client's license can be restored. Some suspensions are caused by simple things, such as an unpaid ticket or failure to appear in Court. Others may be caused by a simple clerical error. Many are caused by driving during a period of suspension caused by an unpaid fine or failure to appear in Court. DON'T TAKE BAD ADVICE.

Please don’t take legal advice from friends or relatives. Do not ask the DMV how to fix a suspension. They mean well, but DMV employees are not trained to recover suspended licenses. In several recent cases, Mr. Dawson helped clients recover licenses which had been permanently suspended for paying off old traffic tickets, as directed by well-intentioned DMV employees.
